Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Monokern builds simple, focused utility apps for macOS. This privacy policy applies to all apps published by Monokern, and to this website.
Data we collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Our apps do not require an account or sign-in.
Data stored on your device
Some apps save your preferences and content locally on your device (for example, your calculations or settings). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Network requests
Some apps make network requests to third-party services to provide features such as live currency exchange rates. These requests do not include any personal information.
Analytics
We do not use any analytics or tracking tools, in our apps or on this website.
Third-party services
Some apps fetch publicly available data from third-party APIs (such as exchange rate data from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter). No personal data is sent to these services.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Purchases
Some apps can be purchased through the Apple App Store. Purchases made through the App Store (including subscriptions and one-time purchases) are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Purchase records are managed by Apple and subject to Apple’s privacy policy.
Purchases and free downloads on this website are handled by Payhip, which processes the payment and delivers the download and any licence key. Payhip shares your name and email address with us so we can deliver your purchase and help with support. We do not receive your card details. Payhip’s own privacy policy applies to the checkout.
This website
This website does not use cookies or tracking of its own. When you open a checkout, Payhip’s checkout window loads and may use cookies needed to complete the purchase. If you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email (delivered by our email provider, Resend), and use them only to reply to you.
